About

In June of 2010, I brought Olive into my life; a 10-week old Weimaraner. Having never actually raised a dog from puppyhood before, not to mention a Weim, it quickly became clear that I had no idea what I was in for.  With that being said, three classes and 18 training sessions later, not to mention the joy this nutty dog brings into my life everyday, I am nuts about Olive. She has in  fact, inspired me to write about her and our experiences together each day. She is great fodder for laughter. Instead of sending my small, narrative blurbs to friends and family via email, I have decided to share them with a wider audience in the hopes that they enjoy them as much as my less critical audience does.

For the record, Olive’s AKC name is Watchpoint ‘n’ Camelot’s Radiance. Her parents are  GCH CH Camelot’s Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door and CH Watchpoint ‘n’ Camelot’s Legacy. Olive came to me via Deborah Rosenblatt’s Watchpoint Weimaraners in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. My well-behaved but exuberant pooch received her training at Top Dog Obedience School in Flanders, New Jersey in classes led by Shelley Clawson. My experience with the breeder, obedience school and trainer has been fantastic. Olive is one lucky dog. (And she knows it.)
